Polarity for the charger
Just bought a new charger for my tablet and I need to know the polarity setting for the tablet.

Wendy, most of the Iconia Tab use a barrel adapter for their power supply. Most of them have a 12 volt DC power output. The outside of the barrel (called the Ring) is negative and the inside (called Tip) is positive. Check your model and let us know so we can answer this specifically to your device.

Yes that makes it a 12V charger with +Tip
I also had this problem, but my multi-use charger needs polarity + or -. How do I find this out?
karen p use a multimeter on the volt settings. Connect the positive probe to the inside of the connector (tip) and the negative probe to the outside (ring) of the connector. Check your multimeter while you do so. On an analog meter the needle will move toward the right scale if the tip is positive, if it is not, than it will move in the opposite direction. On a digital meter (depending on make) it will show you a neg 12 V. Also, check the power adapter and it may actually have it marked on there as well.
ABSOLUTELY correct!!! The Acer Inconia A200, uses a barrel adapter for it's power supply. It has a 12 volt DC power output. The outside of the barrel (called the Ring) is negative and the inside (called Tip) is positive.
I uses a universal power supply with a max output of 1,300 mAh, (a.k.a 1.3 Amps) which work BEAUTIFULLY!!! Thanks, 'oldtuky03'!!! This item is also available @ Batteries Plus Bulbs.;-)

Wendy, I am a bit confused by your question. The original charger should fit without having to worry about polarity. What is is that you need to know about the original charger?

It is an Acer Ionia tab. And I bought just a multi-use actually adapter.
