Hello, i have broken the Front Glass from my iMac. Not the LCD. The LCD is ok.
Can i change only the Glas? It is possible to take off the LCD from the old Glas and make it on the new Glas?
And where can i buy the Glas?

Hans, I do not share the opinion on the ability to replace the glass by a DIY'er with my colleague. "To save space and eliminate the gap between the glass and the pixels, Apple opted to fuse the front glass and the LCD. This means that if you want to replace one, you'll have to replace both." and "cutting open the display destroys the foam adhesive securing it shut. Putting things back together will require peeling off and replacing all of the original adhesive, which will be a major pain for repairers." So is it possible? Certainly by people that have the right equipment and plenty of experience. If the ifixit team with all their resources and experiences in teardown have problems with this, I am convinced that the occasional fixer will have great trouble doing it. Just because the part is available does not mean that it is a task we can do. I'd suggest to replace the complete assembly. Part number for the assembly is 661-7109

I have the same model and the same problem (cracked glass, LCD fine). I had seen several guides showing replacement glass installation good for "2009 to 2012" 21.5 inch imacs that looked pretty straightforward. I was close to buying the glass and suction cup combo (assuming I'd only have magnets to contend with), but it sounds like that simple approach won't work for this model.
Am I correct in inferring that the procedure described at iMac Intel 21.5" EMC 2544 Display Replacement is the appropriate one? Why doesn't ifixit offer the replacement display/glass assembly?
You'll need to cut the foam tape that glues the cover glass to the LCD panel without damaging the LCD and cutting your self in the process. Even our replacement didn't hold up well and was dirty afterwards (we ended up replacing both with new display assemblies). The next problem is locating the cover glass. I don't know of any source to get the glass alone any more, now that there are spares available (full assemblies). I wouldn't waste the time or risk getting hurt here. What is the right Glas Panel for my iMac 2012 Late. It is the 13,1 iMac. EMC 2544.
