Glass on Camera is Broken

Hello, I dropped my phone, without a case (Dumb of me I now know), and the glass on the camera broke. Without it the light is not focused and the camera is not able to focus. I was wondering how to go about repairing that?

I'm not sure if you're talking about the digitizer or camera lens.

They list this lens for the 1520: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/23122231482...

Here's the front glass.

Jake Miller, it looks like you are looking for the proverbial needle in the haystack. the plastic lens cover seems to be almost impossible to find by itself. At this time I'd suggest to try and find and replace the complete back cover.

I am in the US. I bought one from ebay and then fixed it myself. Did not have to open the phone for this.

There are many products on ebay. I bought this one -

There were no instructions, but I contacted the seller and they told me how to.

Use a hair dryer to warm the tape under the bezel. Then use a cutter or thin knife with light force to cut off the adhesive at the edge of the lens.

P.S: Be careful with the tape that is provided. First remove the central circle so that you are left with just the donut. use a pair of tweezers for best results.

Good comment,I accidently left the center circle on the tape and installed the glass lmao.Pain in the @%^ to get back off!

Must give this a try. What is best way of removing the cracked camera glass ? thanks

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

I just removed it bit by bit. Even if you melt the adhesive, the glass pieces wont just fall off. They seem to be tightly set and need to be removed using the knife from the edges. No solution a to how to prevent tiny pieces from falling in :s

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

Thanks Sri,

I did manage removing all the little bits and replaced the glass. Looks fine and works fine apart from it can no longer focus on macro. Pity..
