How do you check on an oil leak

There is a small leak that drips off the oil pan but can't tell where it is coming from?

You may not have a seal leak as these trucks had bad oil pans and it could actually be the pan itself that has holes in it

Jenn76, that can come from anywhere. Leaking valve cover gaskets, bad oil pan gasket etc. I suggest you steam clean your engine and inspect a bit closer. Unless you can narrow it down, anything will be a guess.
