Help after replacing screen; making it sit flush

I recently replaced my iPod touch 4G screen. When I threw away my old screen, the metal bracket went with it. When I finished taking out the old screen, I noticed that it said to transfer the metal bracket to the new screen. It also said that if you don't transfer it, the screen won't sit flush. Is there any way I can make it sit flush without the metal bracket? Please help and thanks!

Hi Brandon,

It should be better off without the bracket near the camera, many people end up installing this piece improperly causing more problems than what the thing was engineered to fix.

If for some reason it is not sitting flush I may have interpreted your question improperly, in which case please add some more details and pictures (Yes pics! Most of us hands on repair folk love visuals).

Good luck!
