The HTC One X is the first HTC phone to be equipped with a quad-core processor, released in April 2012.

Can anyone help with backlight?

I have an HTC one x that has no backlight. I can only see screen if I hold up a bright light to it. It has had no damage to it that I know of and no parts change. Can anyone walk me thru this repair as I have never repaired one before?

Thank you in advance.

Generally whenever I see this there are 2 possible solutions, once of which is not cool:

1) The LCD requires replacement (cross your fingers this works).

2) The motherboard in the phone has a bad fuse or something. This requires replacing the board/phone.

Is the phone under warranty? If it is, then that is likely the easiest way to get it fixed/replaced.

If you have the time and technical ability, replacing your phone's screen and digitizer may be the solution for a broken backlight. Be forewarned though, this is not an easy repair to do!
