After much reasearch several articles fron apple say G4 books don't (do not) use pram batteries. They use a large capasitor to store power for pram. I just yhought you guys would like to know.

The first couple of times I read the question I was also thinking iBook, and you are correct that they do not have PRAM batteries. However, by my third or fourth reading, I realized he is asking about iMacs. Thanks for the info!
I corrected it to iMac G4
no it was an Ibook my key board was mest up and my proof reading sucks. Deleted pram trashed ical prefs. Brotherinlaw is all happy and stuff.
