The HTC One (codenamed M7) is HTC's 2013 flagship smartphone. It features a seamlessly designed unibody aluminum frame, large dual front-facing speakers, and a 4.7-inch 1080p display.

HTC One: After reassembly no GPS-Signal

I replaced the complete Front (Display, Touch, Frame).

After reassembly I have no GPS-Signal at all.

I Really don't think so but maybe I forgot to connect a cable or something.

Does anybody know where the GPS ist located on the motherboard?

Is there a GPS-antenna and where?

Thank you so much

Thmas

Hi,

May be you have problem with antenna connector. Disassemble it again.

Look here:

HTC One Teardown

In step 16 you can see some golden contacts.

Push them up (carefully, you can broke them).

And check back housing on the places where they make contact. I'm not shure which one is for the GPS. You must have connectors for GSM, WiFi, GPS.

Regards.

Thank You for answering my question.

I dissambled it again, including mother- and daughter-Board. I checked all contacts I saw. They looked fine but again I pushed them up. Just for sure.

But still no success, GPS isn't working :-(

Is there a possibility to check the GPS-Hardware?

Thank You very much

Regards

Thomas

I replaced the cameras and charger port and then the GPS stopped working. I took an emergency trip to help my brother and got lost. Contacted HTC and they said it would be about a two week and $150.00 fix. Found this and fixed GPD in three minutes.
