Hi!
I bought my vaio( E series) laptop last year, it was a while that the screen took too long to show up, and 4 days ago it just died! The laptop is on, i can hear it but the screen is totally black, its warranty is finished, and they are telling me that they can not find the cause and have not fixed it yet.please help !

Nadia, start off by connecting an external monitor and see what it shows. Should that remain black as well, then you are having issues with your GPU which is part of your motherboard. Should an external monitor work, then you are having issues with either your inverter, your LVDS cable or your LCD as well. Hope this helps, good luck.

Hi.need your help again plzzz.so finally they confirmed it is the motherboard and now they are telling me i should change it.you said it is GPU.i don't know about these stuff,i wonder if this GPU can be fixed,or i have to buy new motherboard?
