A phone that is vibrating with no display is telling you, "My display isn't working, my display isn't working!"
This can sometimes be a software problemβif the phone has never been opened, for example. A hard reset can solve this problem. Hold the power and home button for 10 seconds.
If it's not a software problem, then it could be damage to the flexes of the screen itselfβthe LCD flex. Replacing the screen can solve the problem.
If not that, then it could be damage to the LCD or digitizer connector on the board. Anyone who has tried three or four screens and then it magically works againβthey were probably able to finally clear debris out of their connector or straighten a bent pin. If the connector is damaged, it can be replaced as a board-level repair
If not that, then it can be a blown backlight filter (like a fuse). This can easily happen when using certain replacement screens that have an exposed backlight flex solder joint. Pressing the screen into the frame will cause the exposed joints to short the LCD line to ground and burn the filter. This can also be fixed as a board-level repair.
If not thatβyou could have drop damage or latent water damage that is causing a problem in the backlight line elsewhere.

Hello. I am also experiencing this problem with my 5c. I got it on Christmas of 2014 and it has been a perfectly fine phone with nothing more than a few freezes here and there that would last no more than a minute. The problem started when i was at. School and I pulled my phone out of my back pocket to check if i had any messages. The screen would not show anything, but upon further inspection I realized that it was in fact on, just not really working. So me being me, I tried to fix it myself by a force off. The phone shut off. I immediately tried to turn it back on, seeing that I may be in need of it soon, but to no avail. I took it out of its case and it has been like so for hours.y brother who has had a 5c for about a year longer than I have said it may have overheated and suggested to put it in front of the fan for a few hours. I obliged and i tried turning the phone back on only to have the problem persist. Does anyone have any advice?

Usually if nothing lights up on your phone and screens stays black but it keeps vibrating when u plug it in to charge....It is usually a Damaged LCD that is causing this. A new Front Screen with LCD should fix this 9 out of 10 times....If it does not, then you probably have something more serious wrong with it...
