Presario CQ50 battery will not charge.

Hi, I have a compaq presario cq50 and the battery will not charge, it has been like this for about a year, but I have not worked on it since. I tried many things and i got a new battery 2 years ago. Should I get a new battery?

First you want to check your AC adapter, then check your DC jack and see if you even get power to the board.

Try using a phone charger for an LG. I did that with mine and it works. Something was wrong with my charger were i had to hold it in.
