How to change connector for cable three?

Hi guys,

I recently bought a used 3gs with a damaged screen, however i found that the previous seller had also damaged connector for cable 3. I have had a look and a new connector will probably need to be soldered on. But I can seem to pin point where the solder was initially applied to the part. is it on the front side of the logic board or the reverse side? Thanks in advance

it's an smd part - that means it's mounted on the surface

on the top left you will find that part - the white one ;-)

but since you asked that way - are there no sings of solder on the logic board ? . that would be bad - very bad
