Galaxy s4 rear camera replaced now have "camera fail" error

I recently replaced my rear camera on my galaxy s4. After replacing it and re-assembling the phone everything turns on fine. When I try tyo run my camera I get a "camera fail" error and it exits the camera. I assumed it was a bad camera and ordered another. Installed this one same error. I put the older camera back and it works just fine. Anyone have any fixes for this? I have reset the camera app and removed all the cache and I still get the error.

I also need help,hit the camera and i get a black screen . I did a factory reset and replaced the camera. could it have something to do with a software update that i did earlier? There has to be a fix out there!

I've been reading around that there are different versions of the camera. I've noticed this too. The IC soldered onthe replacement has a different amount of pins than the original. The original has 5 pins while the replacement has six...does anybody know if that has something to do with it?

The words typed on the camera flex cable is the key to distinguish the different cameras.

The camera typed “GT-I9505” or “F” on the flex cable is suitable for SCH-I545, SCH-R970, SGH-M919, SPH-L720 and SGH-I337 version. The camera flex cable was typed "GT-I9500", which is only suitable for I9500.

I think so. There are several reasons for "camera failed". It will occur after using a wrong camera.
