You can't increase speed but you can add memory (one slot) to 640 Mb (Apple) or 1152 MB (Mactracker). I don't know what memory you have now but the computer has 128 MB on the board so to reach Apples limit would take a 512 Mb memory stick and the larger ammount would take a 1 Gb stick. The memory is PC2100 DDR266 200 pin SO-DIMM. Ralph

I put a 1 G chip into my 12" PB, 1.33 GHz. Got the chip off Amazon, fairly cheap if I remember. I think it was about 38 bucks plus shipping, less then 42 bucks total.
I also put a dual layer burner into it also. It runs great, even running Leopard.
