Will replacing my digitizer wipe my phone memory?

My HTC Wildfire S has a broken digitizer I have ordered a replacement online. However, I was wondering whether replacing the digitizer will delete my whole memory and most importantly my Whatsapp as my Whatsapp number is registered with my old sim which I threw away and is deactivated.
