There is only a guide to replace the Inspiron 1525 CPU fan. I have a Dell Inspiron 1520. Will the replacement method be the same for the 1520?

Ray, not sure if it is the same as it is for the 1525, but you can download the service manual for your model from here ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/... Page 31 will show you how to change the fan. Hope this helps, good luck.

Hi,
As both laptop belongs to same family you can do that however detaching a fan in a laptop is a patience needed job a little mistake can cause a CPU damage i would suggest you to take your laptop to a technician and have him do it for you.
