Not the battery, not the charger... its the charging port! Apparently there is a slight difference in the diameter of that cheezy, tiny tip. The port hole is too large for most charging tips, doesn't matter if you get the charger from Moto or 3rd party. I have tried five; found one that works, but it is a 12v DC charger... so I plug in at night in my truck and its charged the next day. Pain; but Moto wont acknowledge the problem - check any forum... but Moto will look at for $150!

Can you share a link to the charger that you purchased that worked?
Where can I find that charger? I have the same problem with my tablet.
It's the charging port on your Xoom. Order the replacement for $7 and with a T5 tool you can replace it yourself in 15 minutes. Check out YouTube video on how to do it. Or, I just removed the charging port and use the docking station. You need to remove the charging port in order to use docking station

where can you get the replacement and the tool?
Any tool depot place like Home Depot , lowes or any hardware store. I picked my up from Home Depot.
And a docking station will solve ?
If the port is not good, you'll need to remove it to use the docking station. Bad port shorts out the port and will not allow docking station to work. Buy the port it's cheap and replace use the docking station, it's more reliable than the cheap charger plug
How to use the docking station...
Hi..sounds like it went dead. Charging might take longer than normal. Take a look at this information: http://www.xoomcommunity.com/forum/xoom-...

What is it doing? Does it respond when plugged in? If so then is it just dieing quickly?

It is just dead all of sudden, does not respond at all. Even when I plug it in, there it no lights (white or red) to indicate that it is connected or charging. But when last time I used it, the battery was at may be 15% and the battery life didn't seem to be a problem as it did not run down very quickly, just it was normal duration. So now that it is not responding, does that mean that it has ran out of charge and the battery is not charging either due faulty battery or faulty charging port? Thanks Austin
