Wireless is not working at all---amber light is on?

Hi there----my wireless is not working on my laptop. The amber light is on. If I plug my laptop into the modem it works fine but will not work wireless at all. Any idea why? The wireless in turned on. I checked with the FN key and F3 key to be sure.

Does it show up in your device manager? have you reinstalled the driver?

try re installing the driver if this doesnt work then try a new wireless card.
