Switching Ports with other iPod

I have a chance to get another Ipod Nano; same generation and size. How hard would it be to switch things up? My Ipod has a damaged port, but works great otherwise. The other one I may be getting is from Ebay and apparently everything works fine, but they can not guarantee the battery function or the other has a cracked screen. So depending on the Ipod I get, what would you suggest doing in this case?

Good luck... Trust me it won't look pretty. I've attempted to take these apart so many times without damaging. never fully succeeded.

The parts will swap over just fine. I recommend taking a look at our repair guides to see the difficulty of swapping the parts.
