Revamped version of the iPhone 3G with faster processing speeds. Repair of this device is similar to the 3G, and requires simple screwdrivers and prying tools. Model A1303 / 8, 16 or 32 GB capacity / black or white plastic back.

Stripped screw near the camera

Hi, I'm trying to replace the battery on my 3GS. I was able to remove all the screws in your guide up until the screw near the camera, and it won't come out. I've tried for days. I just ordered your screw removal kit and none of the tools were small enough to get into the screw itself and remove it. Maybe I'm not using it correctly, but it doesn't seem like the right fit here.

I'm approaching my wit's end. What can I do to remove a stripped Philips #00 screw?

Also, what is IFixit's return policy on tool kits?

Hi there! I'm going to refer you to a couple places, rather than answer inexpertly myself. Take a look here for the screw issue, and here for the return policy info. =) Best of luck!

Try putting a rubber band in between the the screw head and the screwdriver,if that doesn't work then you can try super glue on the the screw head you break the screw off after you get it out be careful amount of super glue.
