Actually, if you're anywhere near NYC (and even if you're not) give the guys at tekserve a call, it might be easier in person, but if you get a sympathetic tech or manager he may be willing to sell you the OEM part if they have it.

The only place I could find any was eBay and I can't believe the asking prices. WOW. You might want to try Apple. Good luck. Ralph

Well, Apple will not sell the parts!
And no buddy has them on eBay.
Thank you all for your help!

if ifixit.com doesn't have the part, perhaps try http://www.powerbookmedic.com

Your best bet is ebay. I found a new display for my machine for $60. Its was the exact LG display that came with my machine.

bing.com has 8% ebay cash back.....could save a little from ebay.
crwdns2934105:0crwdne2934105:0
btw, search "macbook air screen cable"..that's how I found it on ebay. Good luck!

Start your own new question.
Found one from ebay, the seller was really nice. I think you need to search "MacBook air lvds display cable" for key word.
crwdns2934105:0crwdne2934105:0
How hard is it to replace this cable?
crwdns2934105:0crwdne2934105:0

Does anyone know how to replace this LVDS Cable?
crwdns2934105:0crwdne2934105:0
You cannot replace this cable, because you can't remove the LCD panel in the macbook air to get at where the cable is installed.
In other words, don't buy a replacement cable. You have to buy the whole display assembly.
crwdns2934105:0crwdne2934105:0
of course u can remove the LCD panel.. its pretty simple.. i offer my service.. They didnt going to sell any parts if it is fixed. perhaps they might sell the whole LCD panel.. right.. the price is wow... sorry for the grammar... im a computer technician
crwdns2934105:0crwdne2934105:0

crwdns2934105:0crwdne2934105:0

Hey I have the same problem, I need the 'internal' connection cable between the machine and the display. Apple does not sell them separately neither is able to fix it. Were you able to find the cable?
Thanks,
Pedro

Is the cable called "LVDS Cable"?

For these machines that use adhesive instead of screws (MacBook Air, MBP Unibodies, etc), Apple doesn't offer individual display components. Your best bet is (as was said by stitchrobot) a sympathetic tech who takes them apart, or a lucky strike on eBay (as was said by rj713).
