GE microwave trips beaker

I was cooking a spaghetti squash in my 2 year old GE Profile microwave. After about 10 minutes, the squash exploded, the microwave went dead and the breaker was tripped. I reset the breaker, had power to the microwave and tried again. The microwave stopped after 1 second and tripped the breaker again. I repeated this with the same results. Can thiis be fixed or should I buying a new microwave?

I don't have a solution to the problem-I have the same problem on the same exact microwave and was wondering if you ever found a fix and if you could link the article to me? This appears to be a common problem with this microwave as I was just opening the microwave door getting ready to microwave something and it tripped all the power in my kitchen and after a couple seconds everything came back on except my microwave and now its completely dead-the outlet works just like yours. Thanks

Most of us here do nor recommend working on microwaves as they are just to dangerous. I'd just replace it. Sounds like the exploding squash has shorted the machine out.
