Released on November 22, 2005, the Xbox 360 wireless controller is the primary game controller for the Microsoft's Xbox 360 home video game console.

Right analog stick is drifting!

The controller I got with my 250gb s Xbox has started playing up, the right analog stick drifts even when it has not been touched. I have looked on the web and found this is a common fault, and wondered if anyone had or knows how to fix as some YouTube vids are a bit hard to follow. Many thanks. Paul

All you need to do, is to unsolder the connector and solder the new joystick in place. It should be a straight forward repair. Of course, you'll need a soldering iron, a desoldering wick (or solder sucker, flux and solder to repair the joystick...Hope this helps, here is a great tutorial. hope this helps, good luck.
