i think i will put a 2,5" HDD with an Optibay instead of the Superdrive and replace the old 3,5" HDD with a SSD (Intel).

worked for me. Put an OCZ vertex II in a MCE optibay and the superdrive in the provided superdrive case. Now after almost a year, i can use my 250 gb ssd drive , at 3GB link in my macbook pro mid 2009. Good luck you guys,

I did this with an eBay version of the Optibay. It worked, except that I botched the video cables (Vertical Sync AND Display data cable). The display had vertical bars across black areas of the LCD. It was barely useable for basic tasks like web browsing. Turns out that I'd bent/broken some of the Display data cable connectors, which are mounted on the logic board. New logic board is $1600...
Ended up buying a new iMac. Oops. Be Careful.
