Will Lite-on DH-4B1S-08 work in Mac Pro tower?

I am thinking of installing Lite-on DH-4B1S-08 in my Mac Pro (2006 model) tower. The drive as some peculiar bits, like some sort of an elongated LED indicator on the front panel (this would need to be removed). Has anyone installed this particular model and used it successfully on their Mac Pro?

This is a SATA drive and the current connection in your MacPro should be IDE. I also looked at the specs and the ones I saw listed this drive as Windows only. You might consider this drive in a external firewire box. Better yet, see if you can find one that you know will work with a Mac. Sorry.
