Where are the antennas located on the iPhone 5?

Where are the various antennae located in the iPhone 5? Most importantly the cellular antenna(antennae). And how does this compare to the iPhone 4S?

Thanks!

The antenna are located on the bottom of the iPhone 5. They appear to be part of the lightning connector assembly.

In this image you can see where the iFixit tech is removing the antenna connector from the logic board: http://guide-images.ifixit.net/igi/cI1Rn...

Here is a picture of the lightning connector assembly. You can see the antenna cable hanging: http://guide-images.ifixit.net/igi/n4yuS...

thank you, yes i saw the one mentioned with the bottom connector assy. I was wondering what the location of the other antennae are. Apple advertised the "diversity" antenna system again on this iPhone I believe, i wondered where the other cell antenna is?

thank you

The other 2 antenna are located on the top side of the iphone. They are screwed onto the case. In this image you can see where the tech is removing the screws: http://guide-images.ifixit.net/igi/ipuKf...

In this image you can see the logic board being removed and the two L shaped connectors on the top left of the logic board are antennas: http://guide-images.ifixit.net/igi/JhpPx...

I hope this helped.

Do you know the name of the GSM and GPS antennas and their manufacturer?

XnriquX - Is there a replacement part for the two antenna connections shown here ?

I'm thinking the Wi-Fi antenna claimed on step 21 of iPhone 5 teardown would be wrong. (iPhone 5 Teardown) There's already another guide telling where the Wi-Fi antenna is: iPhone 5 Wi-Fi Antenna Replacement

The Murata Wi-Fi module is far from the speaker so this coaxial connector attached with the speaker module should belong to mobile phone functions.

My two cents.

How about the Antenna positions/locations and spacing difference between iPhone5S and new iPhone5C? Are all the antennas are at same position between these 2 models?
