“Change battery pack” only when AUTO mode selected

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

-I recently found my old Canon and batteries, and let both charge to full power. When I tested the camera, everything seemed to be working until I switched it to AUTO mode. The camera says “Change battery pack” and shuts off, but I’ve changed it and attempted to clean the contacts with no luck.
+I recently found my old Canon and batteries, and let both batteries charge to full power. When I tested the camera, everything seemed to be working until I switched it to AUTO mode (worked on picture and video mode). The camera says “Change battery pack” and shuts off, but I’ve changed it between both battery packs and attempted to clean the contacts with no luck. Both batteries are official Canon batteries. Please help, do I need to buy a new battery pack or a whole new camera?
