How Can I Remove solder from D-Pad?

Before I got it, someone tried to fix something in the motherboard, and put solder in the D-Pad.

Now the up and left direction don't work.

I've tried to skin the solder off, but it feels wrong, Is there anyway to remove the solder completely?
