I installed the latest OS that this MacBook would take. I made a back up.
I installed the new OWC SSD. I attempted to restore from backup after having erased the new hard drive so that it was recognized as MacOS extended Journal. Selected backup and then selected a new hard drive. New hard drive was not recognized and is continually telling me to erase it and try again. No error message beyond that.
