+Hi @jayeff I have a slightly different issue but I'm hoping you can help.
-I have a slightly different issue but I'm hoping you can help. I have a Yamaha MCR-042. It struggles to pull in a CD but will with a little help. The main issue is that the cd-player won't 'recognise' the CD on occasion. It'll take in the cd, and the motor will keep running as if the CD hadn't been inserted and it's still trying to pull something it. Then, it will spit it back out. Some trial and error made me think it was the orientation of the CD itself, and some CD's have different labelling on the data side (serial numbers, or bar codes) - I thought the bar coded CD were the ones that would be recognised, but that's wrong. It's also nothing to do with the colour of the CD - I painted the label side of a light coloured CD black and it still wouldn't accept it.

Do you have any advice? I would appreciate it. If you'd prefer I post a new thread, I will.
