Hello,

Can I find out the manufacturer date for an iFixit replacement battery before purchase?

Background: I recently had a shop replace my original Macbook Pro 12.1 battery (13 inch early 2015). The aftermarket (Simplo brand) battery is hotter than a Texas bbq, and after only 16 cycles it's already dropped to 94% capacity. I have installed a fan controller app to turn the fans to full blast, which helps with the heat but destroys the battery time between charging. Today I installed CoconutBattery and saw that the manufacturing date of the battery is March 2015. When it was installed it had about 20% charge, which I thought was low, but I didn't think too much about it.
