Mid 2015 MBP shutdown at 40% after new battery
crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:
Hi Folks. I just replaced the battery in my mid 2015 MBP from a battery bought from Amazon. The installation went well, and the battery charges to 100%. I have reset SMC and NVRAM and booted to safe boot numerous times and the battery still cuts off at 40%. I've also tried using Terminal : sudo nvram -c. Then password. I just get an error message back:"nvram: Error clearing firmware variable fmm-computer-name: (iokit/common) not permitted" I used Apple hardware check & Techtool Pro and the battery comes back with no errors. I assume its a battery calibration issue. Anything else I could try? Would disconnecting the battery and waiting a while help? Hope someone can help! Thanks in advance! | |
