My friend gave me a macbook pro that she bought pre-pandemic, its been sitting in its box never used. When she got it - it never turned on. She never did anything about it. Just left it on the shelf. So she gave it to me, because I mentioned once I like to tear down laptops. So I've tried all the things suggested here short of taking it apart. So, do you think I should open it up and see if the battery is faulty or not connected correctly? Did this units have an issue from the factory? I also have no idea why she didn't just take it back to apple.
