Not the last issue here is like the older 2012~2015 Retina models one needs to be quite physical getting the old keyboard out as you need to takeout a good number of plastic rivets (~80) and some screws as well. I’ve long since given up trying to do the keyboard alone as in the end the repair is not as good.
