The screws which hold the display assembly to the uppercase shell have loosened up or fallen out. Follow this guide to get to them to step 13 [guide|97303] reference Steps 25 & 28 for the hinge screws.

If the screws aren’t loose or missing that points to the hinge pin which is press fitted into the lid shell. Apple did offer a extended warranty program replacing the displays as the first units didn’t bond the pin into the case properly. At this point you could see if they still offer it, if not you could try glueing the pin in after fully removing the display cleaning the hole and pin with a clean solvent (90% reagent grade isopropyl alcohol) and using cyanoacrylate glue.
