Not really understanding why you want to make this so hard.
-With the battery properly installed you can measure the voltage directly off the logic board. If you don’t want to take the system a part and the system is not responding you can test things using a USB-C power meter which I often do.

If you are testing a collection of batteries and you have a junker logic board you can cut off the power connector area and hard wire some test leads to it to connect to a meter. I did the reverse getting a dead battery talking off its logic board so I could attach it to the logic board when I’m working on it.
