I want to add an eSATA port

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

-I have a 2012 iMac worth about $150 that I would like to use for updating firmware on my SSDs. Samsung only allows "internal" SSDs to be updated meaning nothing attached to USB or even Thunderbolt (as far as I know). It would be nice to cut a slot in the case and have an eSATA port so I can just connect them externally without having to remove the screen after each one is updated. What cables/connectors do I need to accomplish this? The 2012 has a blade SSD and a 3.5" hard drive. There must be a way to use one of those connectors for a cable that would end in eSATA.
