Swap SSDs between two “nearly” identical MacBook Pros?

I have two Mid-2010, an Early-2009 and a Mid-2009 MacBook Pro, all are the 17” A1297 unibody models (don’t ask…:).
One of the mid-2010 MBP is not enterely a 2010 model, some parts have been installed from a 2011 MBP (display assembly and airport card if I’m remembering right). The logic board is the original 2010 i7-620m (2.66GHz) though. The other mid-2010 MBP has i7-640m (2.8GHz) CPU.
Can I just swap the storage drive to/from the early-2009 from/to the mid-2009 MacBook Pros? Some infos: Kingston A400 SSD; already installed in one; OS X El Capitan + Windows 7 in Boot Camp.
Also, what about swapping another SSD between the two mid-2010 MacBook Pros? Infos: another Kingston A400 SSD; already installed in the 2.66GHz one; OS X High Sierra + Windows 10 “was pain the butt to set it up” in Boot Camp).
So, practically, I’d like to use one SSD for the 2009 series and another one for the 2010 series.. will it work? I don’t mind using four (or maybe 5, we’ll see…) laptops but I’d like to avoid having 4 or 5 different systems… would be difficult to keep them in sync.
Thanks in advance!
