This sounds like you have a short in the pathway to the display at the start which is why the fuse burnt. Now the path is open from the damage.

So you need to inspect the LVDS cable connections both at the main logic board and within the display assembly. Review Steps 19 & 20 in this guide [guide|15407] and once you get the display removed you can then inspect the other end. I’m sure you’ll see damage and will likely need to replace some parts here.
