It does sound like you damaged something within the logic board. I’ve seen a few cases of people inserting the slim-Jim a bit to deep hitting the logic board components. Did you follow this guide [guide|143615]?
Carefully pop the bottom case off again and compare the images here [product|IF123-210]. Focus on the sides. Take some tight pictures of the area that looks damaged, post them here so we can see so we can guide you on what’s next.
