But before you go down that path how about doing a bit more diagnostics to see more clearly why you are having problems. Often I have people tell me they can’t connect or it stops thinking the issue is their system when in fact it’s the way they have their WiFI setup.

Download from the App Store WiFI Explorer it will allow to see the WiFI bands in use around you and which ones you are using. Often times I encounter people have two or more WiFI bands all of which are named the same but are not setup as a mesh or if they only have one AP your system cached the 5GHz band which doesn’t offer the same distance as the 2.4GHz band as you wanted the faster connection, or the walls and/or ceilings are preventing the signal to pass. But you first need to see what you have before you can solve this issue. Don’t forget to walk around where you want coverage.
