Ouch! You’ve got a mess! Sadly stripped out holes within the lid side hinges really needs a new display assembly [product|IF117-049] the web camera cable is not easy to replace and spicing something workable won’t be easy. And as SMC monitors a thermal/voltage sensor within it it needs to be wired otherwise SMC will push your system into CPU safe mode ramping up the fan and lowering the CPU’s clocking.
So the easiest fix is replacing the display, now the rub! This model is still highly desirable so finding a display is not easy as you only have the used marketplace but finding a dead system to swap out the display is what I would do and often the cost is a lot less.
