I had a problem with my JBL boombox not turning on or charging. Spoke with Harman international industries and was advised to plug the charger into the boombox but not the mains power supply and hold the power button for 60 seconds minimum for a factory reset. This solved my problem and it powered straight back up. Hope it helps you.
