Earbud repair. Which adhesive to use for reassembly?
crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:
First time disassembling TWS earbuds for cleaning.[br]
Before i started, this earbud would play at something like 40% volume.[br]
Soaked my earbud in 99.7% Isopropyl for a day, which definitely got rid of all the wax and i can clearly hear that the volume is no longer a problem.[br]
However the soak also weakened the adhesive inside, and i was finally able to disassemble the earbud.[br]
[br]
It sounds like most of the bass is missing, but the rest of the sound profile is fine.[br]
I attribute that to the now-missing adhesive.[br]
[br]
I saw two types of adhesive inside, both feeling a bit like silicone adhesive to me.[br]
One adhesive, used i most places, was black.[br]
Second adhesive was white, and only used around the audio driver (presumably to provide a seal around the driver for the bass to work)[br]
[br]
white adhesive can be seen on these photos here: https://fccid.io/2AUYFRMA2003/Internal-Photos/Internal-Photos-5024885.pdf[br]
[br]
Should i just use something like B6000 or B7000 adhesive which is used for phone screen repair?[br]
Or is there a different adhesive i should be using?
