Sadly it’s time to just get a new charger. I’ve never been a fan in patching the cable together as the connector has a tiny chip inside which tells the system what the charger is.

Why this is important is the voltage and needed charge rate is not the same across all of the chargers. So the cord you snagged may be for a different charger! So what to get?? Don’t waste your money on the knockoff chargers they are just not safe!
