Sadly it’s time to just get a new charger. I’ve never been a fan in patching the cable together as the connector has a tiny chip inside which tells the system what the charger is.
-Why this is important is the voltage and needed charge rate is not the same across all of the chargers. So the cord you snagged may be for a different charger!
