How to check the battery health status of apple battery case?

He Bought a used apple battery case for iPhone XS Max over eBay in order to extend the battery life on my iPhone. It does charge the built-in battery and extent the battery life a bit, however, I can’t see its status from my iPhone at all(only the built-in battery shown up) though I see people demoed theirs on YouTube which does have its charging status shown on their iPhone screen (it shows two batteries, one from the case and one from the built-in). The iOS on my phone is: 14.4.2, does anyone know how to have it shown on the phone or did I miss anything here?
