Non-Retina 2011/2012 case, 2013 logic board compatible?

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

just a curious question to see if I'm able to repair an old device.

I'm aware retina 2012 15” cases are compatible with all 2013 15 logic boards.

But is there any confirmation that buying a faulty non retina 2011/2012 macbook and slapping a 2013 logic board in would work? Need to know for science!
