The other area is within the display assembly here the same connector interface is used. What happens is screen cleaner drips down wetting the connection point causing it to corrode. For either its possible to clean the corrosion and fix the solder joints. Sometimes the connectors are to far gone which will require a new connector or cable. Replacing the connectors are tricky! Without having the correct tools you can damage the LCD or other components on the logic board.
