I replaced my Pixel 3a screen and the new screen is glitchy:
# The ambient display shows at full brightness and when transitioning from ambient display to lock screen, the screen flashes white at full brightness.
# The keyboard requires significantly more pressure than on previous screen. Therefore, when typing quickly, many keys are wrong or missed.
When I disable the ambient display, the flashing goes away — I can press the lock button and the lock screen appears without issue.
How can I diagnose the cause? The previous screen was cracked, but otherwise fine, so I assume it is the new screen. But, is it possible that something else is causing the problem? I followed the directions on iFixit and encountered no problems.
