-i had this issue before with a customers macbook pro. After all the trouble shooting i did it came down to a defective logic board. I ended up replacing it. Regardless apples hardware diagnostics kind of suck. There is no diagnostic software for logic boards. They test other parts. Ra,m and Hard drive being the majority of the test. All the hw test does for your processor is make sure the socket recolonizes it is connected. Some other advice i can offer is check your power settings.
